Crazy Crisp Water
Day 32: I’m not sure if water counts as a dish, but it is so flavourful and good for you, I am going to count it. I need to drink more water, but I forget but this makes water taste delish, without all those horrible fake flavourings made in New Jersey (at least, that’s where I read they were made – sorry Nicole. Hey, my dad was from NJ)
This is adapted from Natalia Rose’s book, Raw Food Life Force Energy, which isn’t a raw or vegan book, per se, as it has fish and cheese recipes, but it is more about getting healthy and energized.
I think I am always going to drink my water like this, from now on!
Ingredients:
Big jug of filtered water (About 64 ounces, or so)
2 sprigs mint
1 carrot, sliced thinly
1 lemon, sliced thinly
1/2 medium cucumber (I didn’t add this, as I didn’t have one handy, but I will next time)
Now, this is very complicated…
Add everything to the water.
Stir.
Let steep.
P.S. The longer you leave it, the more flavourful the water becomes.
P.P.S. If you can, put it all in a glass jug, like I did, so friends can be impressed.
